A better future for mental health in Oxfordshire
Warneford Park will be home to a new, modern mental health hospital, set within a vibrant research and innovation hub.
Together, these will support better care, new treatments and improved understanding of brain and mental health conditions.
Researchers and clinicians will work side by side to develop new therapies and approaches to care.
By linking scientific discovery more closely with clinical practice, the campus will help ensure that new treatments reach patients faster and can be shared more widely across the NHS.
Working together to improve care
This integrated approach will benefit patients not only in Oxfordshire, but across the country.
The project is being delivered by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, working in partnership with the University of Oxford and a benefactor who shares the ambition to improve mental health care and research.

Planning and community involvement
We have now submitted our planning application to Oxford City Council for consideration.
Listening to and involving local people is a vital part of shaping our plans. Since July 2024, we have spoken with a wide range of stakeholders and held two public consultations ahead of submitting the planning application.
This feedback has helped inform the proposals and will continue to guide the project as it develops.
